-Linkedin - networking tool (school and work), a Facebook version for the older group of working people
-del.icio.us - online bookmarking
-Blogger.com, WordPress.com, LiveJournal.com, - blogging=ranting=thinking aloud
-Flickr - online photo sharing
-Youtube - streaming video = entertainment for the bored
-Lastfm, Pandora (no longer available for its NON-US listeners) - music
