Dad

An image of my dad long time ago when he was young. He must have been in his 30's, I guess since he passed away not quite ten years after that. I love this image of my dad. He was on a boat, working. Yes, he was a forester. He love what he does and I love what he does. Until today, I always wished I had been a forester just like my dad. I sort of 'took' this picture from my mom's album before I leave for Canada just because I love it so much. I still kept it and it will always be my prized possesion.

Part of my assignment for a class I took at McMaster was to take an old image and not only salvage it but try to make it look as though it taken was yesterday. I supposed I could do better, but I am pleased with the outcome nonetheless. So here are pictures of my dad before and after enhancement and digital manipulation.

It will be Hari Raya soon, I miss you dad!

Graduation

I never thought I would ever say anything nice to my boss but yes, I did, today. I am graduating for my diploma tomorrow and it's really nice to be recognized by your superior for that. I got a card and a cake...which I shared with my beloved colleague. I must say, I do owe it to 'the bosses', to some degree. After all I wouldn't be able to do it had I not been given the opportunity to go to school while working my full time hours. So yes, thank you, I said.

It is still a long way to go for me. I am determined however to complete it within the next 2 years. No doubt about it. I can't wait to stand at the stage and received my first degree.

Live and Kicking

After four years being paranoid, I've decided to join the world wide web and reveal (if not all of me) who I am and what I am.

While thinking maybe this will be my 15 minutes worth of fame, this blog will serve its two tiered purpose. One is to connect with many people that would hate to loose in touch with and second will be as a medium to expose my passion which I will talk about in due course.

Till then, happy reading ;-)
